Advertising FAQ

How does advertising work?

We create and manage an advertising account with your chosen search engines (e.g. Google, MSN, Yahoo) . You set a monthly spend limit which is used on a cost-per-click basis, so you only pay when someone clicks on one of your adverts to visit your site
For most sites, the cost per click will be in the region of 50p to 80p, however the higher your budget, the more times your advert will be shown, so the more clicks you are likely to get.

What should my monthly budget be?

The more you are willing to spend, the more your adverts will be seen, and the more visitors you are likely to get to your site.
To acheive good results, we would recommend a monthly advertising budget of £100 for each advertising location.
